Bow Tie Garland

Can you tell bow ties are my new obsession?! These fabric bow ties are so fast to make and their possibilities are endless. Turn them into hair clips, pins, necklaces, accessorize shoes for her or make some for the guy in your life or for your dog's or cat's collar.  I decided to turn 6 into some garland and I love it!

I was going to make my own tutorial for the bow ties, but I didn't have anyone to help me take pictures while I did the steps. Here's a tutorial I found that made them the same way I did. When I looked online they're all about the same so go here if you need some help making the bow ties: bow tie tutorial

The fabric I cut out for my bow ties was about 5inches by 10inches.

After you make all your bow ties (I made 6) you'll need some string and a needle. I used cotton crochet thread and a tapestry needle. The needle's eye was larger than a sewing needle and was easier to get the thread through.

Thread the needle and go through the one corner of the bow tie, down through the middle, and the through the other corner. Repeat.

When you're done, tie a knot on each side of the string. One knot close to the bow tie so they don't slide off and one knot at the very end so the string doesn't fray.

Hang and enjoy! (:

I put this little guy on the shop find it here https://www.etsy.com/listing/152907485/bow-tie-garland-fabric-handmade-ready-to
