Fun Holiday Decor

We whipped up a "Merry Christmas" white burlap bunting with red lettering.  It was a little late to list it online for sale so I decided to use it.  Next year we'll have to start them earlier because I think this turned out cute!

I also decided to make my own "wire brush" trees.  There are some cute tutorials online one how to make these using alternative materials (I used the one here http://www.fynesdesigns.com/handmade-bottle-brush-trees-yarn-twine-garland-rope/).  I use embroidery floss and yarn.  The bases are just white polymer clay that I pressed white glitter into.   I think they're pretty cute and they were really simple.

Exciting News

Well we finally did our first craft show! It was exhausting and I'm glad it's over and I'm glad we made ourselves do it.  While we didn't do awesome we did better than I thought we would.  The show was filled with a lot of looky-lous that weren't buying much of anything from any booth.  We did, however, receive good feedback and recognition for what we had.  Here are some pictures of our booth set up:

On another exciting note we have changed our Etsy shop name from Emma Beans and More to Whimsical Revival.  We are looking to kind of redirect our focus.  While we will still have vintage items we're going to start incorporating more repurposed/upcycled items as well as more handmade items.  We're also going to get more into social media more so that means a facebook page and hopefully more consistent blog posts.

Fall/Winter Transition Decor

More decor ideas - this is kind of a transition display between fall (with the mums) and winter (with the board)

The mums are set in a vintage galvanized bucket tied with some burlap set on a bright aqua half chair.  The is a vintage skin stretcher that has been painted white and stenciled with the word "joy"
