Card Catalog Find

Wow. It's been a long time since we've posted - and believe me it's not for a lack for cool finds/projects.  Just haven't seem to find the time to post which is sad.

Anyway, this just had to be shared.  Found this cute little card catalog lately and it definitely needed some love and attention.
Before: Dingy and Grimy

I just love it.  It's currently for sale at our booth at a local antique store (The Great Mish Mosh in Bellefonte, PA)

Fun Holiday Decor

We whipped up a "Merry Christmas" white burlap bunting with red lettering.  It was a little late to list it online for sale so I decided to use it.  Next year we'll have to start them earlier because I think this turned out cute!

I also decided to make my own "wire brush" trees.  There are some cute tutorials online one how to make these using alternative materials (I used the one here http://www.fynesdesigns.com/handmade-bottle-brush-trees-yarn-twine-garland-rope/).  I use embroidery floss and yarn.  The bases are just white polymer clay that I pressed white glitter into.   I think they're pretty cute and they were really simple.

Printed mustache Bunting

My mom and I have officially gone on a bunting spree!
It started off with a custom order for another mustache bunting.  I had done one with sewn on fabric mustaches (very time consuming) so this time I opted for fabric paint mustaches.  So. Much. Easier.

If you haven't seen the wonderful trick of freezer paper you're missing out.  Basically you trace your design on the freezer paper (on the dull side) then you take a razor blade and cut the shape out, iron the stencil onto your fabric, sponge on the paint, peel off the paper and let it dry.
