New and Exciting Things

We are so excited to say that we have a booth at The Great Mish Mosh (an antique store in our town) We went in and set some stuff up today - they just opened the upstairs portion to venders and there is still some work to be done up there.  I believe they're shooting to have the upstairs opened to the public at the beginning of March.  Just wanted to share what we set up today.

Of course only we would find it perfectly acceptable to drive around with a deer head strapped in our front seat.  I'm sure passerbys thought we were a bunch of kooks.

Antler Craze

We've been selling antlers faster than we can put them out and WE LOVE IT.  I never thought that almost 3 years ago when we first thought of putting our own spin on the classic set of antlers and listed them on etsy that we would be this far.  I mean seriously we sold six pairs in one day!  I'm just glad that people appreciate antlers as much as we do!  Since it's been awhile since I made a post, here are some pictures of all of the ones we've done since  the last post.

Upcycled Wooden Totes

My mom found these wooden totes at a yard sale and I admit I had my doubts about them but she made them look adorable! She put terra cotta pots in one, vintage mini milk bottles in another, and vintage blue mason jars in the other one. I love them (We didn't take any before photos so just picture plain boring wooden totes )

Vintage Frame Turned Chalkboard

We finished another chalkboard! This one is my favorite (but I'm always partial to pink)

So adorable! It's always nice to see what a little bit of paint can do to spice up an old piece.  I can just see this in a little girl's room.

Chalkboards!

My mom and I have been collecting frames forever meaning to make them into chalkboards and we're finally getting some done.

Here are the first two we have completely done.

So cute right!? The green was hard to get good pictures of because the room was really bright. It's a celery color. They're even cuter in person than the pictures. We have more almost all done-we just need  to get the boards cut out for the chalkboard part. I just want to keep them all for myself.

Update: The blue chalkboard has been listed on our Etsy store for sale. Find it here

Vintage Deer Antler Makeover

It all started 2 years ago when I picked up a set of deer antlers while out hunting. My mom and I thought at that time it would be so cute to mount them on cool plaques and cover them with fabric.

I think they're adorable. We have some sets on our etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/EmmaBeansandMore

We've gotten a little obsessed with them over the years. I love seeing how they turn out <3
