Crochet Bow Tie Necklaces

I'm recently smitten with bow ties! I decided to crochet up some bow ties, adorn them with twine and attach them to a chain. Voila an adorable necklace!

I'm working on some smaller sized ones for some cute pins as well as making some out of fabric for more fun looks.

I will update this post with a tutorial for the bow tie when I make another one. I forgot to take pictures of the process when I made these ones.

DIY Business Cards and Card Holder

I was browsing online looking for ideas for doing business cards and card holders to take when we go to craft shows. There were some cute things out there. Two ideas struck my fancy and I decided to use the ideas that I saw but changed things up a little.

So cute!!! All you need is a tin, washi-tape, burlap, and string or floss. I printed the cards out on card stock with my blog website on the bottom and used my stamper for the top. Easy-Peasy.

End Table Redo

Well mom and I finally got this end table done! I may be a little biased because it took many weekends to finish-but I'm in love with it.

We found it at a yard sale and it looked like this:

Not too bad to start with, it was just a little boring.

We started out by modpodging on a map of New York

then we primed the wood and added the tacks
Then finished it off with some blue and beige paint and here's the end result:

Plush Love

My Valentine this year? Monsters. Monsters galore!
Still working on adding more to my repertoire. I guess I should start putting some on Etsy or taking them to craft shows before my house becomes full of monsters.

Here are the two newest ones I've done. Along with an owl pillow I made for fun.

More Antlers!

A cute 4 point on an aqua scuffed plaque covered with some tan tweed and accented with brown upholstery cord. They are officially listed on our shop: Listed Here

Unfortunately, the photos turned out a little dark. It's so hard to find good lighting in the winter months. I love the texture of the fabric. We finally lucked into some more antlers so we have some more in the works.

Chalkboards!

My mom and I have been collecting frames forever meaning to make them into chalkboards and we're finally getting some done.

Here are the first two we have completely done.

So cute right!? The green was hard to get good pictures of because the room was really bright. It's a celery color. They're even cuter in person than the pictures. We have more almost all done-we just need  to get the boards cut out for the chalkboard part. I just want to keep them all for myself.

Update: The blue chalkboard has been listed on our Etsy store for sale. Find it here

Rocking Chair Redo

I found this cute rocking chair that needed some love and I knew I had to help it. Some wood putty, new paint, scuffing, mod podge, a little decal, and some polyurethane and voila!

So here's the poor thing before (disregard my clutter and my cat and the low quality photo)

                             and here it is after!

Vintage Milk Glass Vases

Ack! I love milk glass vases and I love this idea my mom had to use them! We were thinking they'd be cute for wedding tables-like to write the numbers on.

We have A TON more vases so we'll definitely be making sets up. Keep an eye on our Etsy shop for them!

Update: Here's another set!!
find this set on Etsy here!

Vintage Mason Jar and Buralp Roses Part 2

We've sold the first 2 sets we've made so we're slowly making more. Here's the next one we made. I have to admit, I love these and I was sad to see them go.
